Can anyone live at Sherwin Rise retirement village?

A retirement village is suited to a person who is aged 55 or over, whether retired or still working part-time. Pets, family and visitors are all welcome too!

What are the benefits of a retirement village over other lifestyle choices?

Purchasers who choose lifestyle living are not protected by the Retirement Living Act. Under the land lease model, homeowners own their home while leasing the land. This land could be resold to another developer, and you often pay higher weekly service fees.

As Sherwin Rise is a retirement village in Victoria, it is legally defined and governed by the Retirement Villages Act 1986 (Vic). It promotes independent living and provides amenities and services covered in the service fees. Lendlease is a highly credible, publicly listed Australian company that has been building communities since 1966. It is important to understand that when you buy into a Lendlease retirement village, typically Lendlease owns the land and homes. The “right reside” in the home on a lease or licence is then sold to a resident.  Residents at Sherwin Rise also have added peace of mind as the village is a gated community with video intercom access controls and CCTV security cameras.

At Leadlease Retirement Living, we also believe in the importance of choice, which is why we offer the importance of choice, which is why we offer three contract options at Sherwin Rise with purchasing options to suit you and your circumstances. In comparison, Purchasers who choose lifestyle living only have one option.
