Family is everything

After a six-year gap between Lendlease Retirement Villages, Lynne makes a welcome return to her much-loved retirement lifestyle. Lynne enjoyed village life for seven wonderful years before relocating to live with family to help raise and spend more precious time with her grand-children to which she has 27, plus 7 great grand-children. It is not hard to see that the notion of family is extremely important to Lynne; from having her children join her with the initial inspections of Fiddlers Green so they could all approve of this new chapter together, to the tightest hug from her grand-child that was filled with so much love that it triggered the emergency necklace. Lynne laughs and says she was impressed by how quickly the village team came to check on her and that she now takes off the necklace before wrapping her arms around her kids.

At Fiddlers Green Lynne now has the best of both worlds. After time spent helping her kids with house chores and raising her grand-children she can now put her feet up in her very own serviced apartment where everything is taken care of. The best part is she is conveniently located close to her wonderful family.

During the recent Victorian lockdowns of 2020, Lynne says she could feel the warmth of the Fiddlers Green community. Her mood was boosted with the continued happy banter, saying they were physically distanced, but not socially.

Lynne’s brother built her a mini-golf putting green set which she placed on the lawn in front of her apartment. Lynne tells us that the Green has become quite popular amongst residents and it has been a great way to meet some wonderful people.
