Lendlease Retirement Living’s COVID-19 response

 

We recognise that these are uncertain times, but believe a proactive, collective and compassionate response is the best way forward. At Lendlease we know that connection is at the heart of community, and it’s essential we come together and look after each other as we begin to move forward.

To ensure the health and safety of residents, a number of measures have been developed in consultation with our resident committees. 

Here’s some of the things we’re doing:

Help with essential supplies

We understand that shopping and ordering essential supplies has become very difficult. To support, Lendlease is procuring essential supplies for each village that can be available at no cost to our residents in case of an emergency. This will include items such as toiletries, non-perishable items, essential fridge and freezer food. In addition, through our relationship with Coles and Woolworths, our Village teams are available to assist residents with online ordering. 

Increased cleaning
We have increased cleaning of all village communal areas and surfaces that are frequently touched (e.g. door knobs, handrails, etc.).

Hygiene
We have supplied hand sanitisers around the village and we’re continuing to communicate Australian Government Department of Health information.

Cancelling group gatherings and limiting the number of visitors to the village
We have made the difficult decision to cancel all group gatherings at our retirement villages. We have also reduced attendance of non-essential employees and contractors to the village and have introduced strict visitor screening measures to help reduce the risk of infection.  
 
Additional Preventative Measures
We have applied additional measures such as closing community centres, swimming pools and gyms. 
Visitors are also required to undergo a screening process which includes a questionnaire on their health, travel history and potential contact with a person infected with COVID-19
