In it together

Connection is at the heart of community

From a nation-wide lockdown came new ways of ensuring our 14,000 residents around Australia felt supported and connected with each other, friends, family and Lendlease staff.

We know that connection is at the heart of community, and especially in a time of uncertainty it was essential that we came together to look after each other.

The “In It Together” newsletter has been delivered to all residents each week sharing stories, poetry, photos and more. There were competitions including the hotly contested Easter bonnet prize and then Anzac Day provided an opportunity for many to share their special stories and thoughtful celebrations.

The spirit of our residents has been on full display with driveway yoga, birthday serenades and online sing-alongs. There are teddy bears in windows as part of the national bear hunt, walking pairs, zoom drop-ins, resident welfare groups. Without a doubt it’s been a time for many to shine.

On a practical note, our village teams were able provide support with access to ordering groceries online, putting through hundreds of orders so residents could remain at home.

There is a string of other initiatives designed to keep residents connected, including the launch of the Lendlease Together app.
